Logistics & Warehouse Coordinator

Portland, Oregon (On-site)

Full-time | Early shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) + overtime

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Shipping & Packaging Technician to manage daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.

This is a critical shop-floor role, not a desk position. You will be physically involved in preparing, packaging, and shipping industrial parts, including building custom wooden crates for outbound shipments

You will work closely with production to ensure all parts are properly protected, documented, and shipped on time.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping & Receiving

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and parts
• Prepare and ship outgoing orders (LTL, courier, freight)
• Load/unload materials using forklift and handling equipment

Packaging & Crating (Critical)

• Build custom wooden crates for shipments
• Package parts using appropriate materials (wood, foam, protection)
• Ensure parts are secured for domestic and international transport

Warehouse Operations

• Maintain organized inventory and storage areas
• Label, stage, and prepare materials for production or shipment
• Follow safety procedures and proper material handling practices

Documentation & Tracking

• Prepare shipping documents, packing slips, and labels
• Track shipments and coordinate with carriers
• Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements

Issue Resolution

• Handle damaged, delayed, or missing shipments
• Coordinate with carriers and internal teams to resolve issues

Requirements

Must-have

• 2+ years in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
• Hands-on experience with tools or manual work (construction, packaging, assembly, etc.)
• Forklift experience (certification preferred)
• Ability to lift, build, and work in a physical environment
• Comfortable working independently in a standalone role

Strongly Preferred

• Experience building crates, pallets, or custom packaging
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or aerospace environments
• Familiarity with LTL freight and shipping processes
• Experience handling regulated or sensitive materials

Work Environment
