Job Title: Procurement Specialist/ Buyer
Location: Portland, OR Hybrid (3 days onsite at WTC, 2 days remote)
Duration: Long term

Role Summary
The Procurement Specialist (Category Buyer) plays a key role in executing tactical procurement activities across assigned categories. This position acts as a bridge between strategic sourcing plans and operational execution, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective procurement outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in sourcing, contract management, and supplier coordination, along with strong analytical and negotiation skills to support business objectives and drive process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs as per category strategy
• Prepare bid packages, evaluate supplier proposals, and drive sourcing decisions
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions for mid-level categories
• Draft, review, and manage contracts, renewals, and amendments
• Track contract lifecycle and ensure audit compliance
• ct as primary contact for suppliers and resolve issues
• Support supplier onboarding and monitor performance
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure smooth execution
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and identify cost-saving opportunities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field
• 2-3 years of procurement/sourcing/contract management experience
• Hands-on experience with RFx processes and vendor negotiations
• Experience with tools like PeopleSoft, SharePoint, or similar ERP systems

Preferred

• CPSM / CIPS certification
