Description:
This position involves providing speech-language therapy in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
The therapist will evaluate and treat patients with communication disorders and swallowing difficulties.
The therapist will work directly with patients to improve their speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
Weekend work will be required, with at least one weekend day each week.
Expected ratios are 1:1.
There may be flexibility to accommodate five 8-hour days, covering a specific caregiver's maternity leave.
Candidates must commit to working three of the five major holidays during the duration of the contract.
All applicants must have experience with the EPIC charting system.
Knowledge and skills requested include dysphagia management, alternative communication devices, and patient/family education.
Travelers may be expected to float to nearby facilities as necessary.
A vehicle is required for this assignment.
