Job Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient evaluations, including comprehensive physical assessments and meticulous reviews of medical records
- Assist in identifying and diagnosing surgical conditions through careful analysis of imaging studies and laboratory results
- Work closely with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical treatment strategies for patients
- Provide intraoperative assistance, which involves preparing the surgical setting, ensuring appropriate patient positioning, and facilitating instrument exchange during procedures
- Deliver exceptional pre-operative and post-operative care, including the administration of medications, wound management, discharge planning, and guiding patient education
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Completion of clinical rotations with a surgical focus is highly preferred
- Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
- Both BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
- State licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Physician Assistant
- Comprehensive knowledge of surgical principles and sterile techniques
- Proven capability to interpret diagnostic tests and engage in complex clinical decision-making
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
