A leading General Contractor in the Portland area has partnered with The Fordy Group to appoint an experienced Construction Superintendent to join their growing team.

The Role

As Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key leadership role, coordinating subcontractors, managing site operations, and maintaining strong communication with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations from ground-up through completion
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and field staff
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Maintain strict adherence to health & safety standards
• Conduct site meetings and provide progress updates
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers and clients
• Drive quality control and resolve on-site challenges proactively

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience as a Construction Superintendent
• Strong background in multi-family construction (essential)
• Broader experience across commercial projects highly desirable
• Proven ability to manage ground-up projects
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Solid understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and safety regulations
