Location: Onsite – Portland, OR

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Full-Time

Pay Rate: $26.00 – $30/hour DOE

Status: Contract-to-Hire

Overview

A client of LHH Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable HR & Payroll Coordinator to support day-to-day human resources and payroll operations. This is an onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity with strong long-term potential for growth and stability. The ideal candidate brings hands-on HR and payroll experience, exceptional attention to detail, and a service-oriented mindset.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately and on time; review employee time records, adjustments, and deductions
  • Support HR operations including onboarding, employee records management, and HRIS updates
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to payroll, benefits, and basic HR policies
  • Assist with benefits administration, enrollments, and employee changes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee files and documentation
  • Partner with HR and leadership on audits, reporting, and process improvements
  • Assist with special HR projects as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required (Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred)
  • 2+ years of HR and payroll experience ideal
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
  • Comfortable working onsite in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Proficient with HRIS and payroll systems
