Warehouse Supervisor

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations and leading a team of associates to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate processing of inventory within the Distribution Center. This role supports the Warehouse Manager in driving productivity, maintaining compliance, and fostering a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct daily warehouse activities including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and returns processing to ensure smooth workflow and on-time execution
  • Supervise, coach, and motivate warehouse associates, fostering a collaborative and high-morale team environment
  • Set and manage schedules to ensure full operational coverage and productivity targets are met
  • Monitor attendance, timekeeping, and provide first-level support for pay and attendance-related questions
  • Track and report daily production metrics and team KPIs; identify gaps and drive corrective actions
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and process adherence to minimize shrink and loss
  • Enforce OSHA safety standards; conduct daily safety checks and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant facility
  • Train associates on warehouse processes, equipment usage (scanners, tablets, WMS systems), and company policies
  • Partner with the Warehouse Manager on metrics, performance management and planning
  • Step in operationally during peak volume periods or staffing gaps to ensure continuity of operations
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and throughput

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or eCommerce fulfillment environment, with at least 12 years in a lead or supervisory capacity
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations including receiving, picking/packing, shipping, and inventory control
  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards within a warehouse setting
  • Experience managing staff performance, attendance, and productivity metrics
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), scanners, and related operational technology
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and maintain a positive, accountable work environment
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment

Role Summary

The position is primarily focused on product processing and warehouse organization, with occasional responsibilities in logistics support and team collaboration depending on operational needs.

Duration & Availability

  • Contract Duration: 6 months, with potential for extension
  • Availability: Must be flexible to support extended or irregular hours during peak periods and critical cutover activities.
