Insurance Analyst

We are seeking a contract insurance analyst to support the implementation of an enterprise insurance and claims management platform. This role will partner closely with the insurance risk manager and project stakeholders to support data preparation, system configuration, testing, and reporting. This is an execution-focused role suited for a detail-oriented analyst who works with insurance data, systems, and structured processes.

Primary Focus: Implementation Support

• Supporting data gathering, cleansing, and preparation for upload into the platform (policies, claims, exposure schedules).
• Assisting with data migration, validation, and reconciliation against source documents and legacy spreadsheets.
• Helping configure and test insurance policy records, claims workflows, and user permissions.
• Participating in user acceptance testing (UAT) and documenting issues, defects, and enhancement requests.
• Supporting the creation of system documentation, job aids, and basic training materials.
• Acting as a point of coordination between internal users and the implementation team for testing feedback and issue resolution.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Assisting with day-to-day insurance administration as needed during the implementation period.
• Supporting claims tracking and reporting.
• Helping prepare renewal data, exposure summaries, and schedules for internal and external use.
• Maintaining organized records of policies, claims documentation, and correspondence.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 2+ years of experience in insurance, risk management, finance, accounting, or a related analytical role.

Knowledge: Familiarity with commercial insurance concepts (property, casualty, claims).

Skills: Attention to detail, comfort with data and spreadsheets, and ability to follow defined processes. Organizational and communication skills are necessary, as is the ability to work independently in a contract environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Riskonnect (policy, claims, or reporting modules).
• Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, or data migrations.
• Exposure to utilities, energy, infrastructure, or regulated industries.
• Advanced Excel skills, including data cleanup, reconciliation, and analysis.
• Experience working with insurance brokers, claims adjusters, or third-party vendors.

Compensation

The pay rate for this position is between $60.00 per hour and $70.00 per hour.
