GovCIO is currently hiring for a Project Coordinator (AI & Digital Health) to support Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) initiatives focused on AI-enabled digital health solutions.
This role provides coordination and operational support to technical teams responsible for integration support, testing and validation activities, and issue management across pilot and pre-production environments. The Project Coordinator I assists with organizing workstreams, tracking activities, supporting communication across stakeholders, and ensuring project tasks are documented and progressing as planned.
This position operates in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is ideal for an early-career professional looking to gain experience supporting complex technical and digital health initiatives.
This position will be fully remote and generally reports to a Technical Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
Support coordination of day-to-day project activities across technical and operational workstreams
Track tasks, action items, and deliverables to ensure progress aligns with project timelines and priorities
Assist in organizing and documenting meetings, including capturing notes, decisions, and action items
Maintain project documentation, trackers, and status updates across multiple workstreams
Support preparation of reports, presentations, and other project materials for internal and stakeholder use
Monitor collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, Jira, shared trackers) to help identify and track issues, updates, and action items
Assist with organizing and maintaining issue logs and supporting structured tracking of technical issues and resolutions
Coordinate communication across team members, stakeholders, and support teams to ensure alignment and information flow
Support scheduling of meetings, working sessions, and project-related activities
Assist technical teams with documentation of testing activities, workflows, and observations
Help ensure consistency and organization of project artifacts, including documentation, trackers, and reports
Support onboarding of new team members by helping organize materials, documentation, and access to tools and resources
Perform other coordination and administrative support tasks as needed to support project and team success
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree (or currently completing degree) in a relevant field such as Information Systems, Communications, Business, or related discipline
2-5 years of experience supporting projects, team coordination, or operational activities (academic, internship, or project-based experience acceptable)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document information clearly and accurately
Experience supporting team-based projects, including tracking tasks, documenting progress, or coordinating activities
Ability to work in collaborative environments and support cross-functional teams
Basic familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration platforms (Teams, Slack, etc.)
Ability to learn quickly, adapt to new tools and processes, and support structured workflows
Clearance Required
Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust (High) clearance
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience supporting testing, validation, or structured evaluation activities (academic or project-based experience acceptable)
Familiarity with task tracking or collaboration tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar platforms
Experience documenting workflows, user interactions, or system behavior
Exposure to digital health, AI technologies, or technical systems (academic or personal projects acceptable)
Experience supporting user training, documentation, or knowledge sharing
Interest in healthcare technology, digital health, or emerging technologies
Posted Salary Range
USD $55,000.00 – USD $70,000.00 /Yr.
