Vice President and General Manager of Freight Audit and Payment (FAP)

UP Talent Group is partnering with a well-established 3PL provider, specializing in Freight Audit and Payment (FAP), to search for an exceptional Vice President and General Manager of Freight Audit and Payment. The company has provided proven processes and analytics to thousands of clients and manages more than $xx billion in freight transportation management.

As the Vice President and General Manager of FAP, you will:

  • Provide leadership; lead, manage, and mentor a team of 6 direct reports
  • Develop and execute strategic plans, manage budgets to business plans, daily operations, and build and maintain customer relationships
  • Oversight of all daily operations of the business, including recruiting, separations, and performance management of resources contributing to the success of the business.
  • Grow sales and retain clients in concert with the commercial team and peers
  • Maintain high levels of service and publish KPIs to key constituents
  • Delivering site-level KPIs as outlined in the performance plan
  • Support migration, implementation, and client transition of operational product development
  • Travel to participate in industry events and conferences and to present to potential or existing clients
  • Maintain current knowledge of logistics and technology developments and trends; recommend and implement improvements based on this knowledge to provide more efficient service to clients

What They Value in You:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business, or Finance
  • Experience in supply chain management, 3PL environment
  • 12+ years of combined experience in sales, pricing, and/or operational roles, account management, and/or business development
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in management with innovative and decisive leadership skills
  • In-depth background and experience with finance, operations, and technology tools
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with prior P&L (Profit and Loss) statement ownership
  • Expert in currency exchange
  • Familiar with technical Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Domo)
  • Ability to lead and influence the team while making an impact and building a growth environment
  • Experience in hiring, assessing, and supporting team performances
  • Experience in providing solutions by analyzing and comparing data
  • Willing and flexible to travel about 25% and/or on an as-needed basis
  • Willing to relocate (if you are currently not in the Portland Metro Area, Oregon)
  • Exceptional communication skills, a strategic leader, innovative, passionate about growth, and building a high-energy team.
