Stantec is looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead and mentor our Portland-based civil engineering team. This is your opportunity to work on some of Idaho's most iconic water projects and contribute to complex municipal and industrial plant designs that make a real difference in our communities. What You'll Do

• Lead and inspire our local civil engineering team
• Mentor junior staff and support their professional development
• Oversee the development of civil design documentation, including plans, specifications, and reports
• Prepare permitting documentation for stormwater systems through local jurisdictions
• Conduct quality reviews for construction plans, agency submittals, and engineering reports
• Produce engineering calculations for stormwater, potable water, and sanitary sewer systems
• Participate in project coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain clear and consistent communication within multidisciplinary teams
• Support construction administration tasks such as reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and preparing site observation reports
• Assist in selecting civil systems and materials
• Contribute to value engineering and basic cost estimating
• Use standard software tools to analyze and design civil system components

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, AdlCPR, StormCAD, and WaterCAD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (advanced degree preferred)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering and design

In accordance with pay transparency laws, compensation is based on education, experience, and location. Bonus eligibility may apply.
