Principal Electrical Engineer (Nuclear)

Location: Manchester / Warrington (Hybrid)

Nuclear | Electrical Design | Long-Term Programme Work

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design across nuclear projects
• Produce and review key deliverables and specifications
• Support bids and proposals with technical input
• Ensure compliance with UK regulations and nuclear standards
• Mentor junior engineers and support team development
• Work with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
• Support installation, commissioning, and technical queries

Requirements

• Experience in electrical engineering within the nuclear sector
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS
• Understanding of UK regulations (ATEX, EMC, LVD, etc.)
• Experience delivering design across regulated environments
• Security cleared or eligible
• Chartered or working towards
• Strong communication and leadership skills
