Competitive starting salary $133,900 – $167,800. Full pay range: $133,900 - $184,700. Compensation is based on experience, skill set, certifications, and a pay‑equity assessment.

Our Location
Energy Trust provides a range of work location options, including remote, hybrid, and in‑office work. This position will represent Energy Trust in public settings and possibly at community events. Candidates may live throughout Oregon and Washington; the Program Manager would report to the office on a quarterly basis at a minimum.
What We're Looking For
Under the general supervision of the Data and Automation Manager, the Enterprise Data Architect will shape and execute the organization's data architecture strategy to enable trusted, secure, and effective use of data in support of Energy Trust's business objectives.
What You'll Do
- Define and support data governance practices, including data quality, stewardship, security, and appropriate use of data assets.
- Define and maintain the organization's enterprise data architecture vision and roadmap, aligned with business priorities.
- Establish and implement data architecture standards, including data modeling conventions, integration patterns, metadata practices, and reference architectures.
- Implement documentation standards and maintain documentation of Energy Trust data assets.
- Collaborate with database developers on hands‑on data architecture and design work for key initiatives, including data warehouses, integrations, and analytics platforms.
- Design and deliver conceptual, logical, and physical data models for transactional, analytical, and reporting systems.
- Create technical designs utilizing best practices and influence technical architecture for current and future applications.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of business functions and operational processes and how data is generated, used, and reported across the enterprise.
- Assess emerging technologies, platforms, and tools related to data architecture, analytics, and integration, and recommend adoption where appropriate.

Requirements
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in data architecture and data engineering.
- Strong experience designing enterprise data architectures across transactional and analytical systems.
- Ability to develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Expertise in defining and applying data standards, naming conventions, and reference architectures.
- Understanding of data governance concepts, including data quality, metadata, stewardship, and lifecycle management.
- Proficiency with relational databases and SQL; familiarity with Microsoft Dataverse or other modern cloud data platforms.
- Advanced experience in MS SQL Server database administration using SSMS and T‑SQL programming.
- Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server SSRS and SSIS development.
- Experience using Microsoft Fabric and Purview for data analytics and governance.
- Experience with source control tools such as Git.
- Collaboration with data engineers, developers, technical analysts, and business analysts to implement architectural designs.
- Strong analytical thinking to balance ideal architecture with pragmatic constraints such as cost, staffing, and timelines.
- Experience guiding data modernization or migration efforts from legacy systems to improved architectures.
- Experience partnering with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions.
- Ability to document architectures, standards, and patterns clearly and concisely.
- Experience in an Agile development methodology; Azure DevOps experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with a diverse workforce and be comfortable working in culturally diverse settings.
