About the Role

The Company is in need of an Interim CFO to provide essential financial leadership during a period of significant growth and transformation. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a thorough assessment of the current finance and accounting function, ensuring financial integrity, and positioning the organization for sustainable expansion. This role requires a strategic partner to the executive leadership and the Board, with a focus on strengthening the finance function, improving cross-functional communication, and overseeing financial planning for a 3x scale in operations. The Interim CFO will also be instrumental in a major capital campaign, demanding expertise in financial reporting, forecasting, and board-level presentation.Applicants must have a proven track record as a CFO or senior finance executive within a nonprofit organization, with a strong background in nonprofit funding models. Experience in assessing and transforming finance functions, particularly in the context of process improvement and team evaluation, is essential. The role demands a hands-on approach, balancing strategic advisory with tactical execution, and the ability to operate in a transaction-heavy environment with high operational complexity. Preferred qualifications include a CPA or advanced finance/accounting credential, experience in human services, education, or nonprofit program-based organizations, and a background in supporting organizations through significant growth or expansion initiatives.
