Review the work area or obtain assignments from lead/team leader/supervisor to determine tasks. Operate typical shop and material-handling equipment (e.g., electric stacker/forklift, crane, pallet jack) to move parts, equipment, and materials. Open shipping containers with appropriate tools and verify paperwork matches package contents; enter/receive items into information systems. Verify and document discrepancies (wrong item, damage, color, quantity) and follow procedures for correction, rejection, or disposition. Check all parts and materials for visible damage; route broken, worn, or obsolete items to the proper authority for disposition. Relay availability and status of stock parts and materials to relevant stakeholders. Use drawings, sketches, parts catalogs, conversion tables, and similar references to determine correct parts, part numbers, descriptions, and locations.
