Our family winery seeks a mature, experienced leader to lead our team and continue the launch of our newly constructed VILLA Tasting House. You are a talented and passionate sales professional who can inspire and build meaningful client and team relationships with charm, polish, and authenticity. It is responsible for growth and oversees high‑level DTC sales, wine clubs, marketing, operations, and some HR; while developing and executing key strategic decisions. Key responsibility includes strategic vision and execution of continued sales growth at one of Oregon's most highly regarded destinations for luxury hospitality, membership and experiences. Key Responsibilities

Sales

  • Develop and execute successful sales strategies, training, and execution in the tasting room. Manage and report performance to budget.
  • TR sales – this includes leading by example and embodying our culture, working the floor, greeting visitors, presenting Lachini wines, sharing information and winery history, conducting wine tastings, and developing customer relations.
  • Manager acts as a liaison between clientele/members, winemaker, owner, and event lead by offering and booking special experiences at the winery.
  • Create, capture, and leverage customer information for follow‑up sales programs (from pre‑visit to fulfillment throughout the “client journey”.)
  • Develop, implement, manage, and execute sales campaigns (Phone, email, Redchirp). Create a reporting structure for individual campaigns (clients engaged, conversion %, cases sold, revenue generated, etc.) Including monthly sales campaigns and initiatives beyond existing member shopping and TR experiences.
  • Derive and implement data‑driven, creative ideas to increase sales by developing subscription programs, loyalty initiatives, retention strategies, new sales opportunities, wine club benefits, special promotions and events.
  • Oversee all direct marketing, email correspondence, and outbound sales campaigns with unique offers – e.g., vintage releases, seasonal changes, and other events at/with Lachini with a focus on conversions and engagement.
  • Call campaigns – contact members regarding special releases/offers or featured library wines based on their drinking preferences or purchase history.
  • Plan outreach when member activity has stalled and help devise other creative solutions to boost sales or membership stagnation to develop sales beyond regular club releases.
  • Identify, develop, and lead strategic best‑in‑class business partnerships to foster new membership opportunities.
  • Leverage and grow our customer and mailing list database through defined priorities and strategies.
  • Develop, lead and oversee meaningful touchpoints for our associates for a defined “Client Experience” to increase engagement, referrals, and sales/membership conversions.
  • Develop, rollout and manage DTC programs designed to meet the goals for wine club, tasting room, and events.

Marketing

  • Execute outreach/networking strategy to drive traffic (on‑site and digital platforms), increase visitation and form strategic partnerships to increase DTC and wholesale revenues.
  • Outreach – collaborate with event manager to network and develop mutual collaboration and referral programs with similarly aligned hotels, restaurants, wineries, tour group operators, local non‑profits and businesses/organizations.
  • Research and cultivate high‑level B2B partnerships (local, regional and national) that can expand the company's opportunities in DTC along with outside sales.
  • Oversee website: updating content, monitoring traffic, etc. to maintain a fresh digital presence.
  • Create and curate social media content emphasizing overall recognition and connection with Lachini and growth in visitation and sales.
  • Drive mailing list sign‑ups through multiple channels – social, website, events, campaigns.
  • Research and partner with social media influencers, including creating/executing specific events.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Channel business partnerships and opportunities to event manager to promote and increase event program notoriety and overall revenue goals. Also, expand opportunities and revenue goals for in‑home tastings, private dinners, auction events, etc.
  • Collaborate with team on client and event support (on and off‑site, including weddings, corporate events, releases).

Wine Clubs

  • Responsibility for growth of our wine clubs in Oregon – oversee refinements and direction.
  • Coordinate member winery visits and reservations via ORDERPORT. Collaborate with event lead to coordinate logistics for member events.
  • Coordinate all releases and oversee/execute member communications.
  • Maintain biography notes in OP of all members for hosts/staff.
  • Invite in a personal manner, private clients and members to events, both local and in‑market.

Other

  • HR – selection, training, and retention of all tasting room personnel.
  • Operational excellence: P&L, daily/monthly closing statements, sample and gratuity reconciliations, inventory, database entry, maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the tasting room.
  • We are a small team and your skillset and leadership are well positioned to help our team execute. You may be called upon to help during harvest, bottlings, national events.

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's degree, or a degree in hospitality management.
  • Extensive experience in luxury wine sales and hospitality.
  • Those who are serious about a career in the wine industry!
