The Springs at Lake Oswego is seeking a Memory Care Life Enrichment Assistant to join our team. At The Springs Living, ou r holistic programs focus on the 7 Dimensions of Wellness: Physical, Intellectual, Spiritual, Social, Emotional, Vocational, and Environmental. We live life to its fullest here, and are seeking an individual who is creative, cheerful, optimistic, organized, timely, motivated, and loves to listen and collaborate. The Memory Care Life Enrichment Assistant reports to the Director of Life Enrichment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute meaningful and engaging activities specifically designed for our Memory Care residents
  • Help promote and communicate daily programming to residents in an inviting and accessible way
  • Collaborate with the Life Enrichment Director and fellow team members to develop programs that align with residents' interests and abilities
  • Support the creative decoration of our community for special events and seasonal celebrations
  • Regularly visit with residents, offering companionship, support, and a listening ear
  • Foster an environment of warmth, joy, and patience in every interaction
  • Coordinate with our Health Services Department to ensure programs align with residents' care plans
  • Partner with other departments to bring community-wide events to life
Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience in senior living activity programing
  • Ability to effectively present information to groups of people
  • Proficient PC skills including e-mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Maintain current CPR and first aid certification
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk the vast majority of the work day; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist, and reach
Schedule:

Sunday through Thursday 9am-5:30pm
