Overview This position will comprise an integral component of our Research. With general supervision, this person will serve independently as the primary liaison for communication and logistics research activities, with a focus on participant identification and recruitment, scheduling/coordinating follow-up contacts, and data collection/management. This position will obtain/manage accelerometer and heart health data (e.g., weight/height, blood pressure) from participants and engage in data entry/verification/management via REDCAP. The position may provide support to the PI and research team in involving a few focus group interviews and analyzing data.The position requires strong skills in verbal and written communication, proven interpersonal and relationship building skills, strategic thinking, organization and time management, and problem-solving. Candidates with experience working with grand families are preferred.Pay Range: $18.91 - $26.75 per hourResponsibilities Conduct data collection, follow-up calls/emails, and data management for (a) research study(ies), and involve some other research activities in screen for study eligibility and schedule/coordinate data collection visits.Work with other research assistant(s) and report to the manager.Participate in the management and analysis of accelerometer data and provide support for focus group interviews.Required Qualifications Bachelor's in relevant field ORAssociate's AND 3 years of relevant experience OR4 years of relevant experience OREquivalent combination of training and experienceSuperior written and verbal communication skillsProven interpersonal and relationship building skillsAbility to work independently and troubleshoot issues.Ability to work well with team membersMust have demonstrated a record of reliable attendance, punctuality and proven successful performance in the past and present work responsibilities.Proven ability to manage time effectively; ability to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner.Proficiency in working with computer software and applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, or their equivalents is essential.Must have strong organizational skills and be detail oriented.Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Nutrition/Kinesiology, Nursing, Public Health and other health sciences field2-3 years of research experience working with human subjects.At least one year of research experience working with human subjects.Experience in an academic research setting, especially with quantitative methods of data collection.Experience working on anthropometric or health measures/accelerometer useExperience working on scholarly products.Experience working with online survey program such as RedCaps.Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking.Demonstrate the ability to make independent judgment in moderate to complex situations related to development, planning, and implementation decisionsAble to multitask and respond quickly to time sensitive tasks.Previous data management/analysis and/or IRB experience preferredAdditional Details Monday – Saturday, hours vary; It might require some work during evening/weekends – depending on study participants' schedule.Location: Marquam Hill.All are welcome.
