Ideal candidate skills include:/pulliEnjoy working hard and pursues everything with energy and has a drive and need to finish/liliHas a strong ethic of accountability and dedication to the job/liliHas functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment/liliBe a team member that is easy to approach and talk to-builds rapport well/liliProvides excellent customer service to internal and external customers/liliListens and communicates effectively and professionally both verbal and in writing/liliUses time effectively to meet deadlines/liliConcentrates efforts on most important priorities/liliHigher level of complex responsibility/li/ulpEssential duties and responsibilities:/pulliFinancial statement preparation/liliReconcile several general ledger detail accounts/liliAssist with quarterly and annual accounting reports/liliTrains and assists new accounting employees/liliProvide training to new hires on accounting software during new hire orientation/liliActs in the capacity of the support for compliance, portfolio managers, and/or upper management involving challenging issues surrounding HUD and or RD subsidies/liliPost rent collections and adjustments as needed/liliReview tenant activity in Boston Post and ResMan for accuracy/liliPost rent corrections or adjustments as needed in Boston Post and ResMan/liliBi-weekly payroll processing including checking cash balances for available funds/liliDaily manual and AVID check processing/liliDownloading miscellaneous bank statements/liliResearching bank and payroll JEs for others/liliTimely processing of security deposit dispositions (Move out packets) to include review of required documents/liliSet up bank transfers/liliPost security deposit payments into Accounting software/liliPrepare post various journal entries/liliReconcile bank accounts/liliTravel as required for in person classes and annual education conferences/liliPerforms other duties as assigned/liliNo supervisory responsibilities/li/ulpQualifications and physical demands:/ppTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Excel experience required./ppLanguage skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization./ppMathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs./ppReasoning ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
