Senior Accountant (Temporary)

$40–$45/hour DOE

CV Resources is partnering with a well-respected, mission-driven nonprofit financial institution to identify a Senior Accountant for an immediate temporary engagement. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative team making a meaningful impact throughout the Pacific Northwest while helping stabilize accounting operations during a critical period.

This is a true temporary position with an anticipated duration of at least two months, though strong performers could be considered for a longer-term opportunity as organizational needs evolve.

What You'll Be Doing

• Prepare and post journal entries during month-end close
• Perform complex account reconciliations and balance sheet analysis
• Review and approve journal entries prepared by staff accountants
• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
• Review and approve higher-dollar transactions requiring senior-level oversight
• Reconcile loan and debt-related accounts
• Support accounting operations during a period of transition and growth
• Assist with process improvement initiatives and upcoming system implementations

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong month-end close and financial reporting experience
• Advanced reconciliation and general ledger expertise
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Strong Excel skills and overall systems aptitude
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
• Power BI experience is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a hands-on mentality
