We are seeking a skilled Silicon Validation Engineer 3 to join our team in running, triaging, and maintaining silicon system regressions. In this role, you will work closely on cutting-edge Compute SoC architectures that directly power global Cloud infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to perform deep technical analysis, stress testing, and functional debugging within a state-of-the-art hardware lab environment.

responsibilities:

  • Execute and manage silicon system regression cycles, and compile analytical reports detailing execution results.
  • Develop, write, and execute validation test plans targeting functional, electrical, and power/performance features of the SoC.
  • Isolate, triage, and debug hardware, software, and firmware anomalies using advanced debugging utilities and lab instrumentation.
  • Review, validate, and collaborate on system-level updates initiated by cross-functional development teams.



qualifications:

Minimum 3+ years of direct, engineering-level experience in silicon validation, testing, or hardware debugging.


Strong engineering and validation knowledge of high-speed IO interfaces, including PCIe, CXL, IO, and End Points (network/storage).


Proficient scripting capabilities in industry-standard languages, specifically Python, C, or C++.


Hands-on experience with electrical validation principles and hardware lab tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG, or BERT.


Ability to work full-time onsite (5 days per week) in a specialized laboratory facility in Hillsboro, OR.


Role is subject to export controls and requires valid verification of citizenship status.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related STEM discipline.


Foundational familiarity with Verilog description language and board-level schematic reviews.


In-depth understanding of computer architecture, CPU/SoC validation principles, and power management or BIOS/FW integration.
