Interim Accounting & Finance Manager (Nonprofit)

Location: Portland, OR (Hybrid)
Type: Interim / Contract
Schedule: Minimum 3 days onsite per week
Compensation: Up to $55/hour DOE

CV Resources is partnering with a respected nonprofit educational organization in Portland seeking an experienced accounting and finance professional to provide interim leadership and hands-on accounting support during a leadership transition.

What You'll Be Doing

• Prepare and present financial information to executive leadership and the Board
• Support monthly close and financial reporting processes
• Review payroll and ensure accuracy of related accounting activities
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting operations
• Monitor cash flow and financial performance
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
• Partner with operational leaders across the organization
• Identify process improvements and strengthen internal controls
• Provide overall accounting leadership and day-to-day support as needed

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
• Experience in a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, Controller, Director of Finance, or similar role
• Strong financial reporting and month-end close experience
• Ability to communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
• Hands-on, collaborative approach with a willingness to support a variety of business needs
• Strong Excel and accounting systems experience
• Nonprofit, education, or mission-driven organization experience is a plus but not required
