Interim Payroll Manager (Contract / Potential Temp-to-Hire) Location: Portland, OR (Remote candidates considered for contract assignment) Compensation: Up to $55/hour DOE Duration: Interim Contract with potential temp-to-hire for local candidates Start Date: ASAP CV Resources is partnering with a rapidly growing, nationally recognized consumer brand to identify an experienced Payroll Manager for an immediate contract opportunity. This is a critical leadership role supporting a large, multi-state workforce in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This opportunity is ideal for a payroll professional who thrives in complex payroll operations, enjoys problem-solving, and can step in quickly with minimal training. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a workforce of approximately 1,500 employees Process new hires, terminations, and employee data changes Ensure timely and accurate final paycheck processing Support payroll reporting and ad hoc analysis Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations Partner closely with HR and operations teams to resolve payroll-related issues Assist with payroll audits, reconciliations, and process improvements What We're Looking For 5 years of progressive payroll experience Experience managing high-volume, multi-state payroll environments Strong knowledge of wage and hour compliance across multiple jurisdictions Ability to work independently and navigate changing priorities Exceptional attention to detail and customer service mindset Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred Experience with Paycom strongly preferred Why This Opportunity?
