This role supports safe and effective sterile processing activities within a short term acute care setting, assisting with processing tasks such as cleaning, high-level disinfection, sterilization monitoring/testing, and sets/trays assembly for a variety of surgical procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. Job Details Schedule: Nights (10-hour shifts), with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Certifications: Certified Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD); International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) / Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Education/Training: Not specified License/Registration: License required; must be brought on the first day Experience: None specified as required minimum experience in the posting Location/Other Requirements: Must have a vehicle for the assignment Special Skills/Competencies: Acute hospital sterile processing experience; experience with robotic instrumentation; experience with cleaning equipment (e.g., crash carts, IV pumps, PCA pumps); high-level disinfection (HLD); use of washers/sterilizers; sterilization wrapping procedures; sets/trays assembly; equipment documentation; knowledge across listed procedure areas (e.g., OB/GYN, orthopedics, plastics, urology, ophthalmology, podiatry, transplant, vascular, dental, robotics, trauma, and orthopedic/total joints) Preferred Qualifications: Charting system experience with Epic Trauma level I experience Charting system name experience with Epic LTAC experience Robotics experience greatly preferred Additional Information: Floating between units/areas may be required within the healthcare providers setting (float between units is not required per the postings unit-float field, but the posting notes that travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility). Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, NYE, NYD). Block schedules are required.
