Staff Accountant (Contract / Potential Temp-to-Hire)

Location: Happy Valley, OR (Onsite)
Compensation: Up to $35/hour DOE
Type: Contract with potential temp-to-hire opportunity

CV Resources is partnering with a well-established nonprofit organization seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team immediately. Responsibilities

• Review Accounts Payable coding and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Review credit card transactions and related expense documentation
• Process and post cash receipts
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end accounting activities
• Support general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations
• Assist with various accounting and compliance-related projects as needed

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Equivalent accounting experience (5+ years) will also be considered
• Prior Staff Accountant or similar accounting experience required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Nonprofit accounting experience is preferred
