Responsibilities:
??Perform material quantity takeoffs to support ordering, purchasing, and estimating efforts.
??Assist in scheduling field crews and coordinating subcontractor activities to maintain project timelines.
??Maintain accurate records of costs, progress, materials, and equipment usage.
??Support safety enforcement and implementation across job sites in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
??Prepare reports related to traffic control, erosion control, and pollution prevention.
??Identify and solve project challenges using sound engineering principles and practical judgment.
??Develop field drawings and calculate elevations, stationing, and offsets based on contract plans.
??Perform basic surveying tasks to establish line and grade in the field.
??Manage the submittal and shop drawing process in coordination with project stakeholders.
??Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and field foremen to ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications:
??Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
??Minimum of 4 years of experience in heavy civil construction; bridge, highway, transit, and rail experience preferred.
??Solid understanding of field operations and a passion for building complex infrastructure projects.
??Strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset.
??Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD, Primavera P6, and Viewpoint is a plus.
??Ability to navigate and work in various outdoor conditions and terrains.
