HP is hiring a Data Explorer for the HP app. The right candidate understands current complex business problems and future business strategy. This candidate also assesses, builds, and deploys required data mining and modeling capabilities.

As the Data Explorer, you will drive excellence through continuous improvement in model accuracy and reliability while providing insights to help us deliver the right content to the end-users. You will collaborate with teams in a variety of HP partner organizations to optimize our content strategy.

Job Summary: This role is responsible for enabling innovation and creativity by bringing cutting-edge perspectives on adopting latest data mining and modeling techniques. The role drives excellence through continuous improvement in model accuracy and reliability. Additionally, the role contributes to innovative ideas, works with cross-functional teams, and supports operational and strategic plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and determines opportunities for predictive modeling to optimize operations and forecast future outcomes.
  • Provides cross-functional teams with actionable recommendations and strategic plans based on analytical research.
  • Defines models to uncover patterns and predictions creating business value and innovation.
  • Manages and creates relationships with business partners to evaluate and foster data driven innovation, provides domain-specific expertise in cross-organization projects/initiatives.
  • Ties insights into effective visualizations communicating business value and innovation potential.
  • Works with various stakeholders, including business leaders, engineers, product managers, and data analysts, to identify business problems and develop data-driven solutions.

Education & Experience Recommended:

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 7+ years of work experience, preferably in data analytics, statistical modeling, machine learning, or a related field.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Programming Language/s Certification (SQL, Python, or similar)

The pay range for this role is $83,000 to $127,800 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
