Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Vancouver, WA (100% Onsite) Compensation: $27-$33/hour DOE Job Type: Contract with Strong Potential for Permanent Hire CV Resources is partnering with a rapidly growing real estate development organization seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in Vancouver, Washington. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company experiencing significant growth as they launch a major new business initiative focused on large-scale residential construction projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. The organization anticipates substantial long-term growth and is looking for an accounting professional who can become a key contributor to the team. Position Overview This is not a traditional high-volume invoice processing position. The ideal candidate will have a strong Accounts Payable foundation and enjoy investigating issues, researching documentation, analyzing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, navigating complex AP processes, and collaborating across departments to ensure accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain vendor accounts and documentation Manage payment information requests and verification processes Research purchase orders and reconcile them to contracts and supporting documentation Investigate and resolve invoice, vendor, and payment discrepancies Support construction-related accounting and procurement processes Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial records Maintain AP documentation and support process improvements Assist with special projects and other accounting-related tasks as needed Qualifications 3 years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience Strong understanding of AP processes, vendor management, and payment administration Experience researching and resolving complex AP issues Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Preferred Qualifications Sage Intacct experience strongly preferred Construction industry experience strongly preferred Experience working with purchase orders, contracts, and project-based accounting environments Additional Information Full-time onsite position in Vancouver, WA Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, with some schedule flexibility available Immediate hiring need with interviews occurring next week Ongoing contract opportunity with strong potential for permanent employment Stable and growing organization with significant future hiring needs If you are an experienced AP professional looking for a role that goes beyond data entry and offers long-term growth potential, we would love to hear from you.
