ETL/Informatica Engineer

Duration: Permanent- Fulltime

Job Location: West Region: CA Los Angeles, CA - Los Alamitos, CA - Norwalk, CA - El Segundo, CA - Sacramento, CA - San Diego, CA - San Francisco, CA - San Jose, WA - Seattle, OR - Portland

Salary Structure: Base Salary + Sign-on-Bonus-($10k to $15k)+Benefits + Expenses (if travelling from client location to any other location.)

What Will I Do in This Position?

Data and Analytics professionals define strategies, develop and deliver solutions that enable the collection, processing and management of information from one or more sources, and the subsequent delivery of information to audiences in support of key business processes. Data Integration professionals develop deep data integration skills to support data and analytics agendas, including skills such as ETL, Informatics, and data migration.

Responsibilities:

Utilizes existing methods and procedures to create designs within the proposed solution to solve business problems.

Understands the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals.

Contributes to design of solution, executes development of design, and seeks guidance on complex technical challenges where necessary.

Understands methods and procedures on new assignments and executes deliverables with guidance as needed.

Adapts existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately complex problems.

Understands and contributes to the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals.

Uses considerable judgment to determine solution and seeks guidance on complex problems.

Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor.

May interact with peers, client counterparts and/or management levels at a client and/or within Client.

Determines methods and procedures on new assignments with guidance.

Decisions often impact the team in which they reside.

Manages small teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Client.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience developing and implementing ETL tools (Informatica ETL, Business Objects Data Services (BODS), DataStage, or Ab Initio)

Minimum 3 years of experience with strong knowledge of SQL including aggregate functions, scripts and stored procedures

Minimum 3 years of experience with a full life cycle development from functional design to deployment

Minimum 3 years of experience in Database experience (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server or DB2)

Preferred Qualifications:

Unix or Windows scripting experience

Experience with both project development and production support
