Gas/Chemical Technician

Sirius Talent is seeking a Gas and Chemical Technician for an opportunity in Tualatin, OR. The technician will be responsible for performing cylinder and drum changes across gas and chemical systems, ensuring equipment reliability, and maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards. The role supports a large fleet of 500+ distribution tools and equipment from multiple vendors.

Location: Tualatin, OR

Contract duration: 1 year (temp to hire)

Pay: $27/hr

Shift: M - F for training then will move to assigned shift (TBD)

Must be clean shaved

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform cylinder and drum changes on gas and chemical distribution systems
• Support troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of gas/chemical delivery equipment
• Conduct preventative maintenance and basic safety process activities
• Follow strict safety, environmental, and quality protocols
• Support installation and decommissioning of equipment systems
• Maintain accurate documentation and technical logs
• Work with 500+ tools/equipment across multiple vendors
• Participate in technical training and certification programs
• Work 12-hour shifts, including nights and rotating schedules

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or technical training/degree
• Mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting experience
• Basic electrical/electronic understanding
• Ability to work safely in industrial environments
• Strong communication and technical writing skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and rotating schedules

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with gas/chemical distribution systems
• Military (Navy Nuclear or mechanical background)
• Semiconductor, industrial maintenance, or facilities experience
• Exposure to hazardous chemicals/gases
