The Kids Ministry Assistant I works with the broader Athey Kids Ministry team and is responsible for supporting the vision, development, and execution of the Kids Ministry program.
Required Experience & Knowledge

Fulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in scripture
Possess strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrate kindness, humility, and self-awareness in interactions with others
A love and calling toward ministry to children and families
Ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment
Proven ability to problem-solve and multitask
Attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks and projects
Self-motivated with excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
Duties & Responsibilities
Participate in weekly staff meetings and special events as needed
Assist Athey Kids Coordinator with class preparation and management
Help with class programing by teaching, instructing games and/or leading worship
Welcome and assist new families with check-in, policies, and questions
Assist in organizing and cleaning of all spaces and equipment in the children's area
Assist in classrooms as needed
Assist with campus-wide and events (Harvest party, VBS, etc.) that fall outside regular program hours
Actively implement and improve how the vision of Athey Kids is met; to see kids saved, fall in love with Jesus, equipped for a long-term walk, love being at church and have fun.
Model the Sustaining Attributes; self-awareness, joy & kindness, work ethic, humility, teachability, flexibility
Engage as part of a team with Athey Creek staff, always being edifying to one another
All other duties as assigned
