Estacada School District Hiring

Estacada School District is now hiring for the 2026-2027 school year! Join our Nutrition Services team and help make a positive difference in the lives of students every day. School meals play an important role in supporting student learning, health, and well-being, and we are seeking a dependable, customer-focused individual to fill a 30-hour-per-week Cook position for the upcoming school year.

In this role, you will prepare and serve nutritious meals while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and customer service.

Work schedules may vary, and candidates must be available to work between 6:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Salary: Grade A, $18.32 - $24.64 per hour DOE: current salary placement will be considered in accordance with the OSEA CBA. (FY26.27 salary schedule is currently under negotiation and salary will be updated once ratified.)

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; must meet all applicable state and federal age requirements for operation of commercial kitchen equipment.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in commercial, institutional, school, or quantity food preparation.
• Knowledge of sanitation, food safety, and health standards, including methods for preparing, cooking, baking, and serving foods in large quantities.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend essential math; ability to make change and process/balance bank deposits.
• Ability to communicate effectively, work both independently and collaboratively, accept feedback, follow direction, and maintain positive and professional working relationships with students, staff, families, and community members from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance and punctuality, as consistent presence is essential to program operations.
• Possess or obtain within 10 days of hire a valid Oregon Food Handler Card; complete all district hiring requirements including fingerprinting, criminal records checks, and pre-employment drug screening.
