Overview Summary: The Security Guard is responsible for the security of plant buildings, grounds, facilities and employees. The Guard also oversees access to plant grounds and coordinates parking. Responsible for security issues that directly impact Gunderson employees. The ideal candidate for this position is reliable, safety-focused, self-motivated, flexible, and detail-oriented. This role is on our graveyard shift - 10:00pm-6:00am.Responsibilities Patrol on foot/vehicle, the grounds and buildings of plantControl access to plant grounds: bar hostile and/or unauthorized persons from plantCoordinate parking in plant lotsProvide emergency response to medical and fire emergencies, panic and burglar alarms, hazardous spills, and/or plant evacuationsWrite necessary reportsTrained in accordance with job responsibilities and applicable specificationsQualifications Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThe following generally describes requirements to enter the job and/or be learned within a short period to successfully perform the assigned duties.Must have a valid driver's licenseMust have or be able to complete Public Safety Standards Training, First Aid Certifications and Blood Borne Pathogen Training.Entry level computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to speak, read, and write English.Must be able to drive automatic and stick shift vehiclesAble to react to security alarm and emergency callsMust have reliable transportation to and from work.Must be able and willing to work any shift (day, swing, overnight)Experience And Education1-3 years of experience in the Security profession preferredAbility to complete the State DPSST Unarmed Officer Course.Working Conditions Work overtime as required (varies, may require some weekend days)Frequent exposure to heat, cold, noise, grease, smoke, fumes, gases, toxic chemicals, and inclement weather conditionsOccasionally work around traffic and heavy manufacturing equipmentOccasionally work at heights, and on slippery or uneven surfacesOccasionally work in confined spaceCompensation The base pay range for this role is $18 – $23 per hour.#J-18808-Ljbffr
