Senior Payroll Consultant (Interim)

Location: Downtown Portland, OR (Onsite) Duration: Approximately August through January, with potential for extension

About the Opportunity

CV Resources is partnering with a well-established, internationally recognized professional services firm in downtown Portland to identify an experienced Senior Payroll Consultant for a highly consultative, interim engagement.

Our client is in the midst of a major operational transformation and is looking for a well-rounded payroll professional who thrives on analyzing workflows, documenting standard operating procedures, and driving meaningful operational improvement. What You'll Do

• Analyze the entire payroll lifecycle, from new hire setup through payroll processing
• Document current-state processes and develop clear, standardized operating procedures
• Identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for automation and process streamlining
• Provide strategic, best-practice recommendations for improving payroll operations
• Partner closely with leadership throughout the ERP transition to ensure payroll processes align with future-state operations
• Help define long-term payroll roles and responsibilities for the team

What We're Looking For

• Senior-level payroll professional with strong process improvement experience
• Demonstrated experience documenting payroll workflows and developing SOPs
• Proven ability to evaluate end-to-end payroll operations and recommend best practices
• Comfortable working independently while partnering closely with leadership
• Experience supporting ERP implementations or payroll process transformations strongly preferred
• Multi-state payroll experience required
• Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is a plus, but not required

Work Arrangement

This role will be onsite daily in downtown Portland. Parking accommodations will be made.
