Surgical Instrument Technician

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night Shift: 5x8-Hour (23:00 - 07:00) or Day Shift: 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:00)

Job Description

The Surgical Instrument Technician will be responsible for the cleaning, processing, and sterilization of surgical instruments to maintain a safe and sterile environment for surgical procedures. This role requires expertise in using various sterilization and cleaning equipment and knowledge of surgical instrumentation, including robotics instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-level disinfection and sterilization of surgical instruments
• Ensure proper labeling and organization of surgical trays and instruments
• Document sterilization processes and maintain equipment logs
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards
• Assist with assembling and preparing surgical trays for upcoming procedures

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year experience in sterilization or surgical instrumentation
• Preferred certifications: CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPAS
• Experience with robotic surgical systems is preferred
• Knowledge and experience using Epic charting system preferred
