Shipping AssociateThe Shipping Associate collaborates directly with the team coordinator and department supervisor to ensure customer product is shipped on time, as specified with all required documentation. Even with Vanguard's state of the art technology, vast manufacturing capability, and leading-edge information tools, we wake up every day thinking about how best to serve our customers, suppliers, and the communities in which we live.What you'll do:Package PCBA's, High Level Assemblies (HLA's), and other materials to be shippedArrange for pick-up of materials and delivery per customer set-upAssure appropriate documentation included with all shipmentsPerform computer transactions and documentation for all shipmentsMay move materials using a ForkliftDrive continuous improvement by looking for opportunities for improvement and working projectsMaintain a clean and organized area and perform other duties as assignedWhat you'll need:Demonstrate ability to work accurately with numbers requiredDemonstrated self-motivation, problem solving abilities, team spirit and a "hands on" mentalityStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.Excellent communication skills, both written and oralAbility to prioritize and organize several activities to meet daily requirements.Communicate in person, over the phone, email, internet or in writing in a positive, professional mannerEducation And/or ExperienceHigh School Diploma, GED or EquivalentInventory Control experiencePreferred QualificationsShipping experience for 1 year or greaterExperience with UPS and FedEx softwareMRP knowledge and/or experiencePCBA manufacturing experienceWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The employee uses production equipment.
