Assists Receiving Manager in the facilitation and execution of Receiving operations and work, including vendor and inventory check-in. Provides exceptional customer service and contributes to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Engages the customer in a friendly manner by seeking opportunities to exceed customer expectations and enhance the customer experience.

Works a schedule that is informed by the needs of the business and may be subject to change seasonally or due to varying staffing needs and demonstrates reliable and predictable attendance, in accordance with attendance policy and all applicable laws.

Shifts tasks as priorities and circumstances change based on needs and conditions of department and whole store as needed.

Consistently utilizes the DEI lens in work tasks and when working with other teams and stakeholders.

Responsible for accurate scanning of products received into the corresponding inventory management software for each vendor delivery, return, and credit.

Receives and checks for quality and condition of all products in accordance with department standards.

Receives and verifies quantity and cost of all products delivered or returned with the inventory management system against the invoices, purchase orders, and credits for all departments.

Assists with daily communication with all departments of any issues, discrepancies, and the status of all deliveries, returns, and credits.

Assists with daily electronic approval of all department invoices into the inventory management systems and import into the accounts payable system for correct vendor payment.

Responsible for adhering to state and federal liquor regulations for all COD vendor payments, credits, and returns.

Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the receiving and dock areas.

Works with departments and operations in maintaining and organizing the store recycling areas and department inventory back-stock areas.

Maintains awareness of weekly ads, promotions, events and holidays.

Follows company procedures for processing invoices, transfers and credits.

Handles damaged and spoiled product according to company policy.

Maintains professional relationships with vendors.

Understands and complies with specific shift guidelines, tasks and responsibilities.

This position works at a Heavy level. Required frequently and up to continuously to be on feet with a mix of standing and walking throughout shift. Sitting seldom required. Up to occasionally, dependent on location, required to climb stairs, step stool and /or ladders.

Frequently required to use hands and wrists for grabbing, twisting and pulling.

Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.

Work occurs in a grocery store environment which includes surfaces that can be wet and slippery, depending on location may have stairs or elevators, moderate noise level, and temperature extremes in controlled environments in the cooler and freezer, and depending on location, working outside in all temperatures. There may be exposure to certain allergens and / or chemicals.
