Job Summary

Athletics Communications Student assistants work during home athletics events and assist the official statistics crew for selected volleyball, soccer, basketball, tennis and baseball games.

Core Duties

• Either serve as official statistics computer inputter or spotter/caller for official statistician.
• Facilitate and check on real-time live statistics being sent to PortlandPilots.com.
• Perform libero/substitution tracking duties at volleyball matches.
• Assist with in-game notes, gathering post-event quotes, running stats to team locker rooms.
• Other relevant duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Proficient computer and word processing skills.
• Knowledge of volleyball, soccer, basketball, tennis and baseball scoring and statistics.
• Must be available to work nights and weekends.
• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to work in athletics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Green Dot full training certified or willing to go through the Green Dot training.
