Job Summary:
Tryfacta is seeking a Surgery Scheduling Associate for our client in Portland, OR 97216. This is a 13-week contract assignment. If you meet the qualifications listed below and are interested, please Apply Now!

Position Title: Surgery Scheduling Associate
Location: Portland, OR 97216
Duration: 13 weeks (Possible extension)
Work Schedule: Days 8 AM - 5 PM
Hours: 40

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Schedule office visits and pre-operative clearance appointments for surgical patients.
  • Coordinate operative procedure scheduling and complete required scheduling documentation.
  • Manage provider schedules, referrals, and appointment workflows in an outpatient clinic environment.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and determine referral or authorization requirements.
  • Initiate authorization and referral processes as needed.
  • nswer incoming calls, receive messages, and route calls appropriately.
  • Fax medication lists and other clinical documents to providers as required.
  • File, scan, photocopy, and maintain patient records accurately.
  • ssess operating room, staff, equipment, and scheduling availability before confirming surgical cases.
  • Prepare daily schedules and support reporting activities as assigned.
  • Collaborate with billing and other departments to ensure accurate and timely patient information.
To be considered for this position, you should have: [Skills, Education, or Experience]
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional healthcare or technical education preferred.
  • Previous experience in medical scheduling, surgical scheduling, clinic scheduling, or healthcare administration strongly preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of outpatient clinic scheduling processes.
  • Experience managing referrals, insurance verification, and authorizations preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer-service skills.

  • Proficiency with computers, scheduling systems, and standard office equipment.
