Warehouse Forklift Driver

Stocks and straightens merchandise for sale in the warehouse. Clears and cleans aisles. Provides a high level of member service.

Job duties include: spotting for forklift drivers to keep people out of the fall-danger zone, following all safety and security procedures, aligning product, communicating with supervisors and managers to determine merchandising plans and priorities, using box knives to cut boxes for display/accessibility of product and to cut twine or shrink-wrap from pallets, wrapping or tying and tagging pallets to be returned to steel, stocking opened cases on shelves, moving and positioning pallets of merchandise using manual pallet jack, stacking product from partial pallets onto full pallets, setting up display models, assembling as necessary, modifying displays for safe handling by members, pulling loose cardboard and slip-sheets from floor, clearing the sales floor of debris and sweeping, removing empty pallets from the sales floor, operating cardboard baler and trash compactor, helping members to load large items into their cart, directing members to products, relating product status knowledge, ensuring proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials, ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery, assisting with department duties as necessary, assisting in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
