Material Handler - Reach Truck Operator (Day Shift)Looking for a forklift-focused role where you'll spend most of your day operating equipment? Join a leading cardboard packaging manufacturer in Hillsboro that has been serving some of the biggest companies in the U.S. for over 50 years.This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with a company known for supporting employee growth through cross-training and advancement opportunities.Material Handler - Reach Truck Operator Responsibilities:Safely operate a reach truck/forklift throughout the shiftUnload incoming trucks and verify materials receivedMove raw materials and finished goods throughout the facilityLoad materials onto production machinery to support manufacturing operationsSupply machines with materials to maintain production flowAssist machine operators and production teams as neededFollow all safety, quality, and inventory control proceduresMaintain a clean and organized work areaWhat to Expect:Material Handlers rotate between Receiving and Machine Support functions.Receiving DutiesUnload incoming trucks using a forkliftWork efficiently to unload shipments within required timelinesTruck volume can vary from 1-2 trucks per day to as many as 8 trucks per dayDuring slower receiving periods, assist production operations on the manufacturing floorMachine Support DutiesLoad materials onto production equipmentKeep machines supplied with materials throughout production runsSpend the majority of the shift operating a forklift to support machine operationsMaterial Handlers typically begin training in the receiving department and progress to machine support responsibilities after demonstrating proficiency and safe equipment operation.Material Handler - Reach Truck Operator Requirements:Minimum 2 years of recent full-time forklift/reach truck experiencePrevious experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment preferredProven ability to safely operate forklifts for the majority of a work shiftAbility to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodationComfortable standing, walking, and working in a fast-paced environment throughout the shiftStrong attention to safety and detailReliable attendance and transportation requiredSchedule: Day ShiftMonday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMTuesday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMWednesday: 5:00 AM - 2:30 PMThursday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMFriday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMPay:$20.00/hrBenefits Offered by Verstela to Eligible Temporary Employees:MedicalDentalVisionShort-Term DisabilityLife Insurance and AD&DIdentity Theft ProtectionPrescription Plan401(k) Retirement Savings PlanLocation: Hillsboro, ORMust have reliable transportation.
