Working hours are typically Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers' success as if it is their own.ResponsibilitiesSchedule patient appointments and manage electronic waitlistsProcess consults, including intake, outreach, and coordination with providersAdjust appointment times, locations, or providers based on clinic needsConduct daily reviews of consults, recall lists, and pending appointmentsServe as the initial point of contact for patients, families, and staffAnswer phones, respond to inquiries, and resolve concerns promptlyProvide clear instructions and explain VA processes and proceduresHandle complaints and work toward resolution within established timelinesPerform receptionist duties and support clinic operationsMaintain appointment schedules for one or more clinics/unitsOperate office equipment and manage documentationDeliver messages and coordinate communication across departmentsAccurately input and update patient information in VA systems (CPRS/EHRM)Verify and update patient demographics and insurance informationVerify patient identity using required identifiersFollow HIPAA, privacy, and VA regulationsMaintain confidentiality of patient records and sensitive informationWork within an interdisciplinary healthcare teamCoordinate with VA and non-VA providers and external partnersSupport clinic operations and workload management activitiesQualificationsHigh School diploma or GED equivalent.Proficiency in written and spoken English.Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute.Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.Basic knowledge of medical terminology.Minimum 6 months of customer service experience.Ability to work remotely and independently in a professional setting.Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable VA background investigation (NACI) and PIV credential.No physical or health restrictions that would interfere with job performance.Ability to complete all required VA onboarding, security, privacy, and mandatory training prior to and during assignment.U.S. citizenship required.All candidates must be able to:Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shiftLift up to 50 lbs from floor to waistLift up to 20 lbsCarry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distancePush/pull with 30 lbs of forceAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
