This AFSCME union-represented role supports emergency and nonemergency response across the OHSU campus.Position DetailsPay: $38.08–$52.28 per hourEmployment: Regular full-time, 1.00 FTESchedule: Variable 24/7 coverage, including nights, weekends and holidays; mandatory overtime may be requiredLocation: Portland, Oregon – Marquam HillPrimary ResponsibilitiesReceive emergency and nonemergency calls; dispatch police, public-safety and facilities resources; operate radio, telephone, CAD, CCTV and alarm systems; coordinate with 911, fire, EMS and other public-safety answering points; maintain accurate records; and provide calm, professional service during stressful situations.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED;experience with multi-line telephone or call‑center systems;at least one year of customer‑service experience;at least one year of computer data entry and information‑retrieval experience or comparable experience;the ability to pass the required background, medical and psychological evaluations.Certifications and Hiring ProcessThe selected employee must obtain DPSST Basic Telecommunicator certification within 18 months of hire and LEDS certification within the first six months. OHSU may administer a CritiCall 911 aptitude test during the interview process. Dispatch, radio, 911, CAD and alarm monitoring experience are preferred.
