Industrial Material HandlerMadden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill an Industrial Material Handler position with a metal recycling company located in Portland, OR. The person in this position will assist around the yard maneuvering scrap metal, sorting metals and performing warehouse equipment operations.Industrial Material Handler Duties and Responsibilities:Operate a sit-down forklift to maneuver scrap metal throughout the facilityWarehouse employees can be assigned many different tasks, including but not limited to metal sortation, torch cutting, shearing, and using power and hand toolsOperate and maintain a chopper machineSort various types of metals (steel, aluminum, copper, etc.)Industrial Material Handler Requirements:Must be able to lift up to 50 lbsMust be able to stand and sit for long periods of timeMust be willing to work outside in all weather conditionsAbility to work in warehouse environment (dirt, loud noise, rain, sun)Must have at least 3 years of Forklift experienceMust be mechanically inclinedMust be comfortable working off laddersCompensation and Benefits:$23.50/hour starting with an additional raise within six monthsUnion position (Kaiser medical)Yearly pay raisePensionSchedule: Monday - Friday Day shift - 6:00am - 2:30pm or 7:00am - 3:30pmThis position requires a background check and drug screening (test doesn't include THC).
