Maintenance Technician

Location: SE Portland, OR + Travel

Paying $32 / HR to $40 / HR

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial smokers and refrigeration units
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration system issues
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs
• Assist with equipment installation, setup, and startup
• Travel to customer sites nationwide to perform on-site service (approximately 50% travel after training)
• Work independently in the field while maintaining communication with internal teams
• Support shop operations, including testing, repairs, and prep work, when not in the field
• Accurately document service work, findings, and repairs
• Follow all safety protocols, procedures, and company standards
• Represent Enviro-Pak professionally and positively in customer-facing environments

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• EPA Universal Certification
• Previous experience servicing industrial smokers, ovens, or commercial refrigeration equipment
• Field service technician experience
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Refrigeration, HVAC, or electrical certifications or coursework
• Experience working in food processing or industrial manufacturing environments
• Basic computer skills for service documentation and reporting
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs

Environment / Shift

• 22,000 sq ft. fabrication shop.
• This role does require travel ~20% of the time
• Day shift

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
