They take pride in doing the job safely, accurately, and on time — regardless of the size or complexity of the order.What You'll Do As a Shipping & Receiving / Loader I, you'll play an important role in keeping materials moving safely and efficiently throughout the facility. You'll be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, organizing materials, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring shipping and receiving paperwork is completed correctly. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:Safely load and unload trucks and shipmentsOperate lift trucks and other material-handling equipmentStage and organize pipe, tube, structural steel, component parts, and finished goodsPull and properly put away materials as neededMaintain accurate inventory counts and proper material organizationComplete shipping and receiving paperwork and documentationProcess receiving paperwork and vendor returnsReview MTRs, bills of material, shipping documents, and other related paperworkSafely handle and stack materials using cranes, slings, clamps, and other lifting equipmentUnderstand proper sling and lifting-device capacities and safe operating proceduresMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow all company safety rules, policies, and proceduresTake company-sponsored training for equipment as requiredProperly care for company tools and equipmentWork efficiently and accurately while maintaining strong communication and teamworkWhat You Need to Have Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material-handling environmentProven ability to safely operate lift trucks without constant supervisionKnowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and paperworkAbility to accurately track and organize inventoryAbility to safely load and secure materials for shipmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to identify and work with different types, sizes, grades, and weights of steel/materialsValid driver's licenseAbility to safely work around heavy materials and lifting equipmentCommitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environmentPreferred Skills 1+ year of forklift/lift truck experiencePrevious experience handling steel, pipe, tube, structural materials, or other heavy industrial productsFamiliarity with MTRs, bills of material, and shipping documentationPrevious crane, rigging, or material-handling experienceWhat's In It for You?
