Assembler – Cleanroom Technician

This role focuses on the precise assembly of valves within a cleanroom environment. You will perform mechanical assembly tasks, operate test equipment, and follow strict cleanliness and safety procedures. The position requires attention to detail, strong organization skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team while maintaining a clean and orderly work area.

Responsibilities

• Assemble valves and related components according to blueprints and work instructions.
• Perform mechanical assembly using hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, and hammers.
• Operate and run test equipment to verify product functionality and quality.
• Follow cleanroom protocols, including proper gowning procedures and contamination control practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including tools, equipment, and workstations.
• Inspect assembled parts and products for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications.
• Read and interpret tape measures, drawings, and assembly documentation to complete tasks correctly.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Work independently when required, managing time and tasks to meet deadlines.
• Follow all production, manufacturing, and quality standards and procedures.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical components.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools, including drills, saws, and hammers.
• Prior production or manufacturing experience.
• Cleanroom experience and familiarity with cleanroom protocols.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and assembly instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
• Organizational skills to maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
• Willingness to learn new processes and accept training.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical assembly in a manufacturing or production setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
