This includes monitoring youth during their daily living activities and completing all relevant documentation, using trauma informed care to provide a safe environment for healing and recovery.What you will do:Provide direct supervision to youth throughout daily treatment activities.Build positive, professional relationships with residents while maintaining appropriate boundaries.Conduct routine safety checks.Administer medications as authorized and maintain accurate Medication Administration Records (MARs).Utilize trauma-informed approaches to support youth emotional, behavioral, and recovery needs.Foster a safe, respectful, and structured environment.Support youth engagement in treatment goals, recovery activities, and daily routines.Supervise and assist with chores, personal responsibility tasks, and community living expectations.Complete required documentation, including daily logs, incident reports, medication records, and resident updates.Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming living environment.Transport youth to appointments, activities, school, or other approved destinations as needed.On-Call ResponsibilitiesProvide coverage for planned absences, vacancies, and employee call-outs.Respond to shift coverage requests from supervisors and residential leadership staff.Maintain flexibility to accept shifts based on program staffing needs.Communicate availability and scheduling updates promptly and professionally.QualificationsAll Residential Assistants must have:Driving is a requirement for this position Current, active driver's licenseCurrent, active auto insuranceOver the age of 23 (per our insurance policy)Additional Requirements:Ability to set and maintain professional boundaries with youth clients and staff membersDemonstrated ability to treat youth clients and staff with respect and dignityPre-employment or for cause drug tests - including marijuanaCriminal background and DMV checksCPR, CPI, and Food Handlers cards are required within 30 days of hirePreferred Qualifications:Experience in substance use/abuse treatment with youthUnderstanding of 12-step philosophy and youth treatment modalities.Addiction Counseling certificate or knowledge a plusExperience working within the Native American/Alaska Native communityWhat's in it for you?Benefits: Employees working 20 hours, or more are eligible for benefits.
