Shipping and Receiving SpecialistJoin a local metals manufacturer supporting the automotive and trucking industry as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist. Your role will involve managing shipping and receiving processes to ensure efficient operations.Responsibilities:Receive materials coming in by truck, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing.Stock products in designated areas and maintain organized inventory.Count inventory and update records using the computer system.Operate a sit-down forklift to unload trucks and move products safely.Assist with packing and loading trucks for shipment.Essential Skills:Experience working in shipping and receiving or distribution.Proficiency in unloading trucks using a forklift.Competence in using computers; experience with ERP systems is a plus.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Ability to work effectively in a team.Attention to detail and organizational skills.Why Work Here?This stable manufacturing company, established in Oregon in 1966, offers a great work culture with a casual and easy-going environment. The environment includes machinery, which can be loud in some areas, and requires wearing PPE such as steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clackamas, OR.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
