Order Selector

Have experience operating warehouse equipment and looking for a stable, full-time opportunity where your work makes a difference? Then this Order Selector role could be perfect for you!

This is a temporary role (with potential for long-term depending on needs) with a well-known non-profit organization in NE Portland that's passionate about ending hunger and creating equity in our community. You'll be part of a team that receives and distributes perishable and non-perishable food to communities in need across the region.

If you have experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment and want to work for a mission-driven organization this is a great opportunity to grow your skills while giving back.

Order Selector Job Duties

• Operate a variety of warehouse equipment including riding pallet jacks, Raymond reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and clamp lifts
• Safely move pallets of canned and boxed goods or produce into storage and prepare orders for shipment
• Follow safety and food-handling standards (GMPs) and maintain accuracy in order selection

Pay: $23.84 per hour

Order Selector Job Requirements

• At least 9+ months of work longevity in your most recent position
• Forklift experience on at least one of the following: clamp lift, stand-up, sit-down, or electric pallet jack (training provided on additional equipment)
• Comfortable working in cold environments (freezer sections may reach 020F; gear provided)
• Able to lift 170 lbs repetitively and stand/walk for 810 hour shifts
• Must pass a Serve Safe Food Handler and Food Allergens test upon hire
• Can adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) no jewelry, nail polish, perfume, or false lashes/nails

Shift Options: Swing Shift (Metro/State) SundayThursday, 1:00 pm 9:30 PM (Typically an 8-hour shift, but can run as late as 2:00 am)
